    Job Summary
    The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, highly talented Ecology Manager for immediate employment in the Cincinnati, OH office. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary team-oriented environment. The Cincinnati Impact Assessment and Permitting group conducts a wide variety of projects including environmental field assessments, environmental regulatory permitting, utility siting and licensing, environmental inspection, and many others. Successful candidate will be tasked with managing and growing an ecology team of approximately 5-7 junior- to mid-level ecologists. The group primarily works on projects in Ohio and adjacent states as part of AECOM’s regional ecological group. Periodically there are opportunities to work on projects further than the typical project range if candidate is interested.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Stream, wetland and wildlife habitat assessments
    • Writing wetland delineation reports, function assessments, mitigation plans, and environmental compliance/permitting documents
    • Staff, task, and project management
    • Coordination with various governmental agencies (USFWS, USACE, etc.)
    • Preparing biological evaluations/assessments

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors of Arts or Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Studies, Biology or related field
    • 10+ years of data collection, data review, preparation of scientific documents and experience with agency coordination for rare, threatened and endangered species
    • Experience writing, reviewing, and leading wetland delineation reports
    • Must have valid driver's license
    • Knowledge of wetland delineations, stream assessments, technical reports, Section 401/404 permitting and mitigation requirements
    • Experience working with clients (new and existing) and marketing for new business

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience conducting wetland delineations and stream assessments, preferably in Ohio and surrounding states
    • The candidate should have experience leading multiple wetland delineation crews on major projects
    • Experience with use of ArcGIS, Trimble GPS units and Terrasync software, managing tasks and managing personnel on field teams

    Job Summary
    The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Scientist/Engineer for immediate employment in the Southfield, Michigan office. The Environmental Scientist will largely be conducting and/or assisting with environmental due diligence projects (largely Phase I and Phase II ESAs) and related disciplines. The successful candidate may also assist in supporting Due Diligence/Phase I assessments property merger, acquisition and divestiture transaction projects and other tasks as needed.

    Responsibilities of the Environmental Scientist include, but are not limited to:

    • Conducting/Writing Phase I ESA site visits and associated research
    • Gathering data and other information to be used in the preparation of scientific reports; compiling and organizing environmental data collected by others
    • Reviewing and editing scientific reports prepared by others
    • Interacting with clients on projects, communicating important project milestones, and advising the client of recommended next steps
    • Providing environmental compliance assistance to clients
    • Scoping and assisting with the execution of Phase II ESAs

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or Occupation Safety
    • 2+ years of relevant Due Diligence experience to include Phase I and Phase II Assessments
    • Able to work flexible hours & travel at certain times
    • OSHA 40 HR HAZWOPER
    • Experience working on industrial facilities/sites
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Able to interact effectively with internal and external clients

    • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks
    • Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
    • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
    • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids,

    • Prepare data analysis and presentation for technical reports. Inclusive of complex hydrogeologic analysis, geochemical and contaminant analysis

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
    • 8+ years of experience including groundwater and soil remediation design (ie: soil vapor extraction, biosparging, zero-valet iron barrier walls, reductive dechlorination treatment systems, pump and treat treatment systems)
    • E.I.T.
    • OSHA 40 Hr Hazwoper
    • Database, GIS, CAD, visualization software skills
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Able to interact effectively with internal and external clients
    • Strong oral and written communication skills required
    • Knowledge of soil and groundwater investigations
    • Strong computer skills and a significant understanding of Microsoft office applications (specifically Excel)
    • Attention to detail and excellent time management – balancing immediate and long-term work with varying priorities and deadlines
    • Comfortable in both an office and field environment, as assignment priorities may change
    • Valid driver’s license is required for business travel

    ASTI Environmental has an opening for a Director to manage building assessment and remediation projects throughout Michigan, as well as northern Ohio and Indiana.  The successful candidate will have experience in: lead assessment and abatement; asbestos assessment, management and remediation; mold assessment and abatement; vapor mitigation; soils remediation; and underground storage tank closure.  Duties will include project management, client development, technical guidance, remediation oversight, data validation, report review, and staff management and mentoring.     MAEP is excited to announce the promotion of our Administrative Professional, Cheryl Anne Farmer, to the position of Executive Director.  On January 11, 2016, Cheryl Anne took over for Lynne Kohon, former Executive Director who retired after 28 years of dedicated service to MAEP.  Over the past 15 months, Cheryl Anne has been instrumental in upgrading our e-systems for announcements, finances, and our newly redesigned website, as well as advertising and making venue arrangements for our Professional Development Meetings.  In addition, she has been very active on the Executive Committee and working with the MAEP Board of Directors, providing the benefit of her years of experience as the owner of an association management company, CA Management, LLC.  Cheryl Anne is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Commercial Recreation, and is a member of the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).  Currently, she manages the Michigan Association of Professional Court Reporters and both the Michigan Chapter and North Central Regional Council of the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials.  Cheryl Anne enjoys reading, the outdoors, boating, snowmobiling and most of all spending time with her two daughters, Mallory (12), Cassidy (10) and her husband Bryan.
