    How You Will Make An Impact

    ·         Provide technical leadership related to environmental matters.

    ·         Function as an available point of contact with clients on air quality projects and ensure a high level of client service.

    ·         Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and compliance reports.

    ·         Perform and review emissions calculations, sampling results, and regulatory analyses.

    ·         Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to coordinate regulatory approvals.

    ·         Offer technical guidance and training to staff.

    ·         Prepare technical proposals and work plan defining scope of services, schedules and professional fees.

    ·         Develop and present project and technical presentations to clients, technical organizations, and in-house staff.

    ·         Assist Division Director in developing business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities.

    What You Bring to The Team

    ·         Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or related degree, from a 4-year accredited college or university.

    ·         10+ years of demonstrated experience in area(s) of environmental permitting and compliance including, but not limited to: NPDES permitting, stormwater management, Clean Air Act permitting and compliance, State and federal regulatory compliance, Joint Permit Applications, waste handling, and/or environmental due diligence.

    ·         Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports as well as perform QA/QC reviews on work products prepared by junior staff.

    ·         Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring and training junior staff.

    ·         Must have demonstrated collaborative approach to problem-solving and have strong people skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians.

    ·         Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills.

    ·         Exceptional time management skills: ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time.

    ·         May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard hours, as necessary; must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

    ·         Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan.  

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·         Professional Engineer License

    ·         Prior consulting or utility  experience

    ·         Familiarity with Michigan regulations related to air and water resources

    ·         40-Hour HAZWOPER training

    ·         Ability to travel for periodic site / client visits, project, and business development meetings

    Job Summary

    Global Remediation Technologies, Inc. (GRT) is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented Environmental- or Geological- Engineer to lead and manage key elements of remediation focused projects. This position requires excellent engineering and writing skills, creativity and attention to detail along with working knowledge of environmental compliance regulations. GRT’s team of professionals helps manage a diverse, challenging portfolio of contaminated sites within the State of Michigan and we are looking for a new team-member to join us!

    Primary Focus

    - Remedial investigation planning and data evaluation

    - Conceptual site model development

    - Risk assessment and feasibility study preparation

    - Viable remedial technology application selection

    - Life cycle engineering cost evaluations

    - Systems engineering design, and construction specifications

    - Performance monitoring plan development and management

    Desired Education/Licensure

    - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering or Civil Engineering.

    - PE license (or on track to obtain licensing) preferred.

    Desired Skills/Experience

    - 5+ years’ experience in environmental professional field

    - Demonstrated technical proficiency in engineering principles for remediation system design

    - Working knowledge of applicable environmental compliance regulations

    - Critical thinking to develop innovative solutions

    - Ability to lead and manage environmental engineering projects from planning through execution

    - Implementation of environmental data visualization tools and engineering principles

    Compensation

    - $85,000 - $110,000 (negotiable, based on experience)
