Wetland Scientist

ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full time, skilled, detail-oriented, well organized Wetland Scientist.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reviewing site plans for conformance to wetland, woodland, and natural features ordinances
- Preparing environmental permit applications
- Managing client communications, both written and verbal
- Speaking at public meetings, including public hearings
- Writing environmental documents
- Performing field work, potentially including wetland delineations, trees surveys, plant inventories, wetland mitigation monitoring, and endangered species surveys

- Strong Mid-West plant identification skills
- Ability to work outside for extended periods, occasionally during inclement weather
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Proven writing and communication skills
- Greater than four years’ experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology (Biology, Environmental Science, Botany, Natural Resource Management, Resource Ecology), Landscape Architecture or Environmental Engineering required
- PWS certification preferred
