Practice Area Leader

Job Summary:

ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full time Practice Area Leader to manage property assessment, soil assessments and hydrogeological projects.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Project management, including inter-departmental projects
• Client development and communication, both written and verbal
• Conducting studies and surveys
• Technical guidance
• Problem solving and solution recommendation
• Assessment oversight
• Data validation
• Report review
• Staff management and mentoring

Where You’ll Be:

Position available in:

• Grand Rapids, MI satellite office

What We Need from You: 

• Experience in sampling of all types of media
• Understanding of groundwater fate and transport evaluations
• Skill in preparation of conceptual site models
• Ability to conduct site specific risk assessments
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven writing and communication skills
• Five years’ experience in relevant environmental consulting
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, required
• Master’s degree, HAZWOPER training, and applicable certifications preferred
