Job Summary
The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Scientist/Engineer for immediate employment in the Southfield, Michigan office. The Environmental Scientist will largely be conducting and/or assisting with environmental due diligence projects (largely Phase I and Phase II ESAs) and related disciplines. The successful candidate may also assist in supporting Due Diligence/Phase I assessments property merger, acquisition and divestiture transaction projects and other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Scientist include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting/Writing Phase I ESA site visits and associated research
  
• Gathering data and other information to be used in the preparation of scientific reports; compiling and organizing environmental data collected by others
  
• Reviewing and editing scientific reports prepared by others
  
• Interacting with clients on projects, communicating important project milestones, and advising the client of recommended next steps
  
• Providing environmental compliance assistance to clients
  
• Scoping and assisting with the execution of Phase II ESAs
  

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or Occupation Safety
  
• 2+ years of relevant Due Diligence experience to include Phase I and Phase II Assessments
  
• Able to work flexible hours & travel at certain times
  
• OSHA 40 HR HAZWOPER
  
• Experience working on industrial facilities/sites
  
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
  
• Able to interact effectively with internal and external clients
  
• Strong oral, analytical and written communication skills
  
• Experience working on industrial facilities/sites
  
• Valid driver’s license is required for business travel
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous compliance experience
