Environmental Technician – NTH is seeking an environmental technician for a full-time position with our Environmental team in Northville, MI..  The position requires a high school diploma or Associates Degree in Environmental Science or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in assisting with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Hazardous Materials/Asbestos Surveys, and field services during building demolitions.  NIOSH 582 Certification required.  MI Asbestos Inspector Certification and 40-Hour HAZWOPER with Annual Refresher preferred.  Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and have strong interpersonal skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians.  Typical tasks include fieldwork for Phase I and Phase II ESAs, performing air monitoring during asbestos abatement projects and preparing daily field reports.
