Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
Environment Health & Safety, University of Michigan-Flint is looking for a full-time, Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator who is self-directed with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as customer focused. The person will coordinate a wide variety of occupational safety and health as well as emergency preparedness related activities to promote and sustain a Campus Culture of Safety and Preparedness. Activities may include, but not limited to job hazard evaluations and PPE assessments, disaster preparedness planning, conduct training and exercises to test emergency readiness. Review and update programs, plans and support documentation. Inspect facilities and equipment to assess operational and functional capabilities. Propose modifications and support EHS programs based on regulatory changes, technological changes, industry best practices, or knowledge gained from outcomes of inspections, exercises or emergency situations. Coordinate continuity of operations planning.
