    Global Remediation Technologies, Inc. (GRT) is seeking a Project Manager for immediate employment. Remote work will be considered, though working from our office in Traverse City, MI will be strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the environmental sciences, a desire to advance their career in environmental consulting, and a proven track record as a motivated team player. Projects will vary significantly but generally include remedial investigation, feasibility study of remedial options and oversight/implementation of selected remedial technologies. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Contract procurement
    • Project budgeting
    • Project staff coordination/scheduling
    • Remedial investigation design
    • Technical report writing
    • Feasibility studies
    • A wide variety of miscellaneous project support (i.e., Health and Safety plans, utility clearance coordination, environmental site assessments, etc.)

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B.S. in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Science or related field
    • Project management experience in environmental remedial or investigation
    • Eight years or more of experience in environmental consulting or a related environmental field
    • Ability to pass a physical exam and background check
    • Ability to manage multiple projects of moderate to substantial scope and complexity
    • Excellent technical writing skills for project deliverables
    • Experience supporting or leading contract proposals
    • Knowledge of state and federal regulations

    Global Remediation Technologies, Inc. (GRT) is seeking a Field Geologist/Technician for immediate employment in our Traverse City, MI office. The successful candidate will spend time both in the field and in the office. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the environmental sciences and a desire to advance their career in environmental consulting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Travel throughout the State of Michigan for the collection of drinking water/groundwater/soil-gas/soil samples in support of remedial investigations and ongoing monitoring projects.

    TriMedia Environmental & Engineering seeks a hard-working Staff Engineer/Scientist in Marquette, Michigan. As a Staff Engineer/Scientist, you will travel between both field and office locations to conduct and report on environmental site assessments and various other environmental projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and can make sound, practical decisions while adhering to corporate procedures and client service protocols.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists, coordinates with, and supports project management personnel in the implementation and completion of projects.

    Environmental Project Scientist Position

    For over 30 years, Envirologic has served as a full-service environmental consulting firm dedicated to assisting clients in solving complex development, redevelopment, and cleanup challenges. Based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Envirologic supports brownfield redevelopment, environmental investigation and remediation, compliance, environmental due diligence services, and more throughout Michigan, the Great Lakes region, and other states.

    Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an Environmental Project Scientist to join our staff in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The successful candidate would join our experienced environmental due diligence team performing projects such as Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments. Two to five years of relevant experience is desired.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments of vacant, developed, and industrial properties
    • Historical research
    • Interviews with knowledgeable persons
    • Review databases and technical reports
    • Site inspections
    • Report preparation
    • Conduct Phase II soil and groundwater sampling projects
    • Health and Safety Planning
    • Sampling and Analysis Plans
    • Conduct field work
    • Data evaluation and report preparation
    • Prepare Baseline Environmental Assessments and Due Care Documents
    • Provide support for brownfield-related activities
    • Hazardous materials surveys
    • Support due diligence, site investigation, regulatory compliance, and ecological services projects

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS/BA in traditional sciences (environmental science, biology, geology, chemistry)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and technical writing capabilities
    • Valid driver's license
    • Strong health & safety knowledge and prior 40-Hour OSHA (29 CFR 1910.120) HAZWOPER health and safety training preferred

    Education

    Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. College / Vocational courses. Associates degree preferred.

    Technical Experience

    • 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Environmental Science, Geology and Natural Resources
    • Background in subsurface investigations including soil and groundwater sampling
    • Understanding of Environmental Site Assessments
    • Conducting or assisting in wetland boundary delineations and determinations a plus

    Key Job Elements

    In this role you will:

    • Assist with SPCC & contingency plans
    • Assist with PIP and SWPP plans
    • Assist and perform stormwater monitoring and sampling
    • Assist and perform stormwater exfiltration tests and similar

    Other Requirements

    • Must have strong written and oral communication skills, be able to work in a team environment as well as independently, demonstrated team-oriented approach to problem-solving, and have strong interpersonal skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians.

    • Exceptional time management skills, ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time, and have ability to work in a team environment.
    • Must hold a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites throughout Michigan.
    • Michigan Commercial Stormwater Operator Certification a plus
    • Michigan Industrial Stormwater Operator Certification a plus
    • Knowledge and use of ArcGIS Pro a plus

    Work Environment / Physical Demands

    • May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non-standard work hours, as necessary.
    • Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to work in an outdoor environment that can be hot, cold, uneven ground, with insects and similar.

    Leadership and Project Management Experience

    • Must be able to work on multiple projects for multiple project managers within budgets and deadlines. 

    Business Development

    • Ability to interact with existing clients to understand their needs.
